TheWheel™ SM350
Light vehicle & generator setting application
TheWheel SM350 is a direct drive motor which is designed in an aluminium housing with enclosed motor electronics. Its torque and max. revolution enables direct traction without any gear link needed between motor and wheel. It is therefore as efficient as our other TheWheel models while smaller wheel diameter makes installation in smaller vehicles possible.
Application
The primary design aim of this motor is for medium sized industrial transportation and SUV class vehicles.
The e-Traction® SM350 TheWheel™ can be installed in numerous ways, as a single engine
(demonstrated left) as a single engine with hollow shaft and differential or as double package. Software is adapted to all situations and the configuration is customized for everyone depending on the torque needed. Single motor torque is 600Nm (peak)
Because of the integrated motor electronics package this unit is very versatile and also can
be used as generator. In e-Traction® we have integrated this design in our APU
diesel generator package, directly linking the SM350 to a diesel engine.
The hostile environment of high temperatures (up to 110
degrees Celsius), heavy vibrations and high revolution speeds up to 3000 RPM has refined the units' design
to a very robust traction solution.
